Aduana Stars winger: We didn’t have the killer instinct against ES Setif

Aduana Stars winger Zakaria Mumuni admits his side lacked a killer instinct against ES Setif despite claiming a 1-0 home win on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ghana Premier League champions defeated the Algerian heavyweights by a lone goal at Agyemang Badu Stadium in the teams’ first leg of their CAF Champions League tie.
Mumuni was one of the hosts’ best players, winning the second-half penalty which was converted by Sam Adams. However, the winger argues that his side should have claimed a bigger lead to take to the return game in Setif next weekend.
“I think we couldn’t take our chances. We were in a rush to score more goals,” Mumuni is quoted by Ghanasoccernet.
“That’s football – If you rush and rush you wouldn’t be able to score. I think we have work on our chances and improve our scoring.”
Stars are looking to become the first Ghanaian side to reach the group stage since Berekum Chelsea in 2012.
