Emre Can set for Juventus medical ahead of free transfer
Emre Can has arrived in Turin to undergo a medical before becoming a Juventus player.
The midfielder will join the Bianconeri on a free transfer when his contract at Liverpool expires at the end of the month.
He is expected to commit to a five-year deal with the Serie A champions and will join his compatriot Sami Khedira in their midfield next season.
The 24-year-old will become Juve’s second signing this summer, following the arrival of Mattia Perin from Genoa.
Douglas Costa’s loan move from Bayern Munich has also been made permanent, while Mattia Caldara and Lorenzo Spinazzola will join Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in preseason training next month after returning from loan spells with Atalanta.
Can’s arrival could pave the way for West Ham United target Stefano Sturaro to leave, while Miralem Pjanic’s future at the club is also now in doubt.
He will become Juve’s latest high-profile free transfer capture, having previously signed the likes of Paul Pogba, Kingsley Coman, Dani Alves, Andrea Pirlo and Khedira when they were out of contract.
